  • Section 1.1 "We will pay for loss or damage to the buildings caused by the events listed below…" Rebuild sum insured £350,000.

  • Section 2.1 Contents covered at your home up to £60,000, new-for-old. Single item limit £1,500.

  • Schedule Accidental damage is an optional extra. It isn't listed on your schedule, so assume you don't have it until you've checked.

  • Section 3.4 (exclusions) "We do not cover business equipment or items used for work purposes when away from your home address."

  • Endorsement E4 "Loss or damage caused by flood is excluded from this policy." Added because of the property's flood-risk rating.

  • Schedule £500 compulsory excess on every claim. Escape of water: £1,000.
